I might not be a photographer, but I am a DIYer. I always take pictures of my daughter Adalie, and I've noticed that it adds so much more drama when you put a direct light on her, and lay her on a blanket for a backdrop. ... just a tip.

Adalies Nursery
A chair for a Queen
so if you cant already tell, I'm not completely done with my favorite reading chair. But the progress has been so great, I could not wait to post some pictures. This has indeed taken me 9months thus far...its like my new baby. Since this was my first time EVER reupholstering a heavy duty chair, I excuse my dragged out project; plus I really did just have a baby. My daughter is quite time-consuming. I have 3 more steps to finish this chair: Pipe the bottom of cushion/add zipper, put in place four more buttons, and place the last chunk of fabric on the backside!
Im expecting to be done next week, once I am, I will be posting a step-by-step process of How to Reupholster a Chair!

Blue baby
The baby shower thrown for my sister-in-law was a success. I used different tints of blue and bright green and some feminine touches that really made it a girls-but for a boy-baby shower. Our dessert was made by Jasna; she used a angel food cake, blue berries, and a blue frosting. My daughter Adalie was quite a task during the entire event, if you cant already tell. And lastly for the entertaining part we provided flash cards that everyone could be a part of and draw for baby Cole. To make it easier for the mother-to-be I provided thank you cards that are in the green envelopes. It was enchanting and entertaining, almost like your 1st birthday.

my daughters new eclectic nursery; filled with reds, yellows, turquoises ...and cute things.
also also...
new projects are being lined up..like:
-finishing love seat upholstery.
-covering pillows with amazing new fabric!
-and much much more, I just dont want to overdue myself and over excite myself so I will stick to this small but enormously time consuming list.
so much to do!
